A week has already passed since NatCon ended. It was the National Conference of Latvia organised by IG Ventspils in Liepene, a camping site in the middle of the nature and 200 meters away from the sea.
The conference was a wow...turning point for us as AIESECers, big learning for me as conference manager, new start for many people and for our MC.
I will not post about what we did there or what was the content or who was there, but I want to post why creating NatCon was special for me.
NatCon was for my term one of the moments when I knew I want to put my fingerprint. I started working some time ago for it, had troubles with finding international facis and even my initial chair gave up the job. The OC had troubles finding a venue with sleeping places :), a normal house, but they managed; they had some issues with raising food and internet; they still managed (even if we ate potatoes for all 4 days :)). They were awesome!
With all the problems we had, we managed. And in the end, it all turned out how I dreamt it! Everybody enjoyed the conference, the externals, the international facis, the inspiration they got, the knowledge they got, the fun they had.
I had the best chair ever, Vish, he is now since yesterday MCPe in Belgium :P. I had the greatest facis, from 5 countries in total (latvia, lithuania, russia, turkey, romania). They put so much effort in understanding the reality and for sharing with the delegates. Thank you all so much!
When I was pouring water in the Closing Plenary for the special moments in my life, I left it pour a lot for NatCon...because it was such an enriching experience for me that I had to express it! It was a shaking moment I will never forget :).
Thank you dear MC for giving me the chance to experience this and for your support1 Could not have made it without you!
In the end, why I am extremely happy for NatCon is because it was different than anyone expected it! I managed to make something different for AIESEC Latvia. Finally they saw that national conferences can be useful for them and they can gain a lot from them. I am happy also because all the things there had my vision and my fingerprint and were made how I pictured them :).
All in all, it was very very cool :)

Wish you meaningful moments in life!
